The Government have implemented plans to completely ban the sale of new petrol and diesel cars by 2040 and in doing so, the focus has shifted to EV and hybrids as the alternative. To encourage the public to consider buying electric vehicles, they have made a grant available for electric vehicles that have CO2 emissions of less than 50g/km and can travel at least 112km (70 miles) without any emissions at all.
